// managed fortigate & firewall

Your firewall shouldn’t be the thing that keeps breaking.

Firmware falls behind. The rule base becomes a tangle nobody wants to touch. Then something slows down or drops out, and you’re on the phone to a telco, a reseller and a vendor at once. We take the whole thing over: monitored, patched, tuned and documented, with evidence you can hand an auditor.

$6,000 ex GST per firewall, per year · volume discount for multiple devices · onshore, Brisbane-based
We take over the FortiGates you already have. No rip and replace.

// four questions

Book a 30-minute network review

Tell us what you’re running and what’s prompting this. We’ll come back with what it would cost to take it over, and say so plainly if you don’t need us.

// sound familiar?

The firewall is fine, until it isn’t

Nobody neglects a firewall on purpose. It just stops being anybody’s job.

// 01

Firmware is months behind

Every version you skip is a known vulnerability you’re still carrying, and a bigger jump when you finally do it.

// 02

The rule base is a tangle

Rules nobody wants to remove in case something breaks. Change becomes frightening, so nothing changes.

// 03

The person who knew it left

The config lives in their head. There’s no documentation, and no one wants to be the next person holding it.

// 04

An auditor asked how it’s controlled

You know it’s configured. Showing the evidence of who changed what, and when, is a different problem.

// what we take over

We run it. You get the network back.

One managed layer over the things that actually keep a network fast and defensible. We onboard what you already own, document it, tidy it up, and run it from there.

// one

Monitored and answered

Continuous monitoring of network health, availability and security events, with people who respond to an outage rather than leaving an alert in your inbox.

// two

Patched and current

Firmware and signatures managed on a cadence, so known issues close before they become an outage or an audit finding.

// three

Tuned and documented

Inspection profiles, policy order and hardware offload tuned for your real traffic. The rule base rationalised, documented and reviewable.

Aligned to the Essential Eight and ISO 27001. We operate and evidence network controls against both, so the way we run your network produces the documentation your audits expect instead of complicating it. Full service detail is on the managed network and firewall page.

// price

$6,000 ex GST per firewall, per year.

More devices is a straight multiple, with a volume discount as the count goes up. No lock-in to a box you don’t own yet: if you already run FortiGate, we take over what’s there.

This fits if

  • You run one or more FortiGate or Cisco firewalls
  • Nobody senior owns them day to day
  • You need the network current, monitored and evidenced
  • You’d rather pay a known number than carry the risk

It’s a conversation if

  • You have a large or unusual estate, or heavy multi-site routing
  • You want us to design and build something new rather than take over
  • You need the network rebuilt before anyone can run it properly

And one we’ll tell you for free: if your current provider is doing this well, we’ll say so. We’d rather not take on an estate that doesn’t need us.

// a real engagement

Network security rebuilt for a scaling SaaS provider

An Australian HR-technology SaaS business had grown its network organically across multiple cloud accounts. Logging, rulesets and change control were inconsistent, egress was unrestricted and customer audits had started flagging it. We designed the target state, put firewalling at the boundaries that mattered, moved the whole thing to infrastructure-as-code and cut over in stages with no customer-visible downtime.

// how it runs

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them

// 1

Four questions

Above. Two minutes. They tell us what you run and what’s driving this.

// 2

Thirty minutes

What’s in place, what’s hurting, and a straight answer on whether we should be running it.

// 3

A number and a scope

Device count, what’s included and what it costs, in writing. Volume discount applied where it applies.

// 4

Onboard and take over

We document the estate, tidy it, bring it current, and run it. You stop thinking about it.

We work with your IT provider, not around them. Most clients keep their existing MSP or internal team for day-to-day IT. We own the network and firewall layer alongside them.

// next step

Four questions. Then thirty minutes.

No obligation, nothing to prepare. Tell us what you’re running and we’ll tell you what it costs to take it over — and if your current setup is fine, we’ll say that instead.

Straight answers

What does the price actually cover?

$6,000 ex GST per firewall, per year, covering management, monitoring, firmware and signature currency, policy management, tuning and reporting for that device. More devices is a straight multiple with a volume discount as the count rises. The 30-minute call confirms the count and the scope before anything is quoted.
Yes, and that’s most of what we do. We onboard your existing FortiGate, Cisco or mixed estate, document what’s there, tidy it up and run it from there. No rip and replace.
No. We add the network and security layer alongside your existing provider or in-house team. They keep doing what they do, we own the firewall and network, and we work with them.
No. We partner with both Fortinet and Cisco and can supply either, but our engineers have genuine cross-vendor depth, so we run a mixed estate as one and recommend the right fit rather than one product line.
Yes. We operate and evidence network controls against both, so the way we run your network produces the documentation and assurance your audits expect.
That’s fine, and it’s common. One device is the base price. The economics work for us because the process is the same whether it’s one box or ten.
